How To Create a List in Twitter

If you are tweeting, then you’ll benefit from creating a few lists to follow. Twitter lists help you focus and minimize the chatter. Learn more about Twitter List Benefits in this post.

Step by step instructions for how to create a list in Twitter.

Using my own Twitter account, I’ll show you how to create a list in Twitter.

Create a Twitter account and then click on your name

REPEAT until you’ve made your lists and filled them with people to follow.

Look in the left corner, select "lists"

Fill out the pop-up form

Fill out the pop-up form: please be sure to mark your list “private” (rather than public, otherwise others can use your list).

Twitter will create the list and bring up a tool to help you find people to add to your new list.

Twitter will find matches. You pick the right one, then right click on the bust to add them to your list.

Now, click the birdie “follow” button! (almost done!)

Check to make sure your person is on your new list!
